CompletedScrabble Bulletin Board: Completed

This was a gift I made for my friend when she got her English degree. Here is a full pic tutorial.

Simply I bought a used scrabble game then sanded the back of the tiles to make them rough. Using epoxy (bought at michaels), I glued thumbtacks to the back of the tiles.

The tricky part was the board. The actual board is difficult to stick things through so I made my own scrabble board in photoshop, printed it and glued it to some posterboard. I then glued the posterboard to cork board (bought unframed in individual squares at michaels).

For presentation I just stuck the squares around the edge of the board and then sewed a little bag for the extras and thumbtacked it to the bottom.

The only drawback is that the paper might fill up too much with holes; but then you can just print out another one and glue it over top!
